Route
A fairly flat walk starting in the centre of Abingdon and proceeding out through the Albert Park and then out along the footpaths and byways to Drayton. Lunch will be taken at Sutton Wick before returning passed the chickens and the turkey and through the fields and along the River Thames.

This is an introductory walk specifically orientated towards new members, but existing members very welcome. These will be offered throughout the year and are shorter walks over easy terrain, with an easy start point close to Oxford, accessible by Public transport. This gives you the opportunity to come along and ask questions about the group. Short walk from Cumnor with fine views over Farmoor Reservoir, taking in part of the Thames Path. Walk will take about 2.5hours. Drinks at the end in Bear and Ragged Staff. 1st drink on us!

Easy walking from Woodstock towards Wootton and then into Blenheim Park on the way to Combe. Then we walk back across fields to Blenheim Park and then a stroll by a stream back to the car park.

A relaxing walk to visit three villages on the south-east fringes of the Cotswolds. Gentle slopes, fine views, riverside meadows and woodlands, which can be wet underfoot if it has rained. Well worth the journey into Gloucestershire!

Try something different with this Night walk.
Heading out under the evening night sky (let us hope for a clear moonlit one) along rural paths at the bottom of Boars Hill. The paths are easy to navigate in open countryside (not woods) but a torch will be necessary.
If the weather is poor - ie heavy rain/wind - this walk will be cancelled, please check back on the afternoon/evening. Or register your intention to come along with me and I will advise via text/email on the day.

Deddington Figure of Eight: Morning Loop (Please note clocks change and go 1 hour forward!), 5.5 miles
We will do a loop taking in some of the countryside around the picturesque small town of Deddington. The main points of interest of this walk are the village of Hempton, some woodland that was planted as part of the Millenium Woods project and an 18th century water mill. Please note that clocks go forward on this day !

A gentle walk from the charming Village of Chruch Enstone, walking through fields onto Heythrop Park. Then we pass through the headquarters for retired Circus Animals. Maybe even spotting a Giraffe or two !!. Then we will walk towards Little Tew and Great Tew where we will have lunch on the Green. Then we will return via fields and the village of Cleveley back to Church Enstone.

Description
The plan is to get down for Friday afternoon walk, ( approx 5-6 miles) and then full day walks on the Saturday and Sunday. (around 9 mile walks) Returning back home on Sunday evening. Plan is to cook a meal together on the Friday evening, and have a pub meal on the Saturday evening. Possible Sunday lunch at a pub. This is flexible though. Accommodation is in twin rooms. Communal shared rooms including lounge area, and kitchen.
Places
14 places on a first come first served basis.
Alternative accommodation can be booked at the Youth Hostel in nearby Burley, or numerous campsites and B&Bs.
Costs
£53 per person for 2 nights accommodation. Kitty for meal on Friday evening, minimal cost per person. Car share where possible. Money for pub meals. Deposit needed of £26 per person to be paid immediately to secure accommodation.

A gentle walk from Chipping Norton, towards the pretty village of Salford. We then visit the village of Little Rollright. Next we walk through fields to the Whispering Knights where we stop for lunch. Then we will visit the Rollright Stones. After which we will return to Chipping Norton via the village of Over Norton and fields.

Route
The walk takes us from Chilton through fields to Harwell and then onto West Hagbourne. We continue to East Hagbourne (the fictional village of Devesham in a well known TV series in the 1970's) and stop for lunch on the outskirts of the village. If the weather is fine then we can stop at the Fleur De Lys pub. Our return journey takes us along the dismantled railway through Upton and finally back to Chilton.

Kenmare - a small town near to both the mountains of Killarney
national park, caha mountains and the coastline of the ring of Kerry.
Travel by car to Swansea to take ferry at 20:30 on Friday 24th August
sailing overnight to Cork which is a 90 minute to 2 hour drive from
Kenmare. Return by ferry at 20:30 Saturday 1st September. Alternative
is to fly and hire a car which could be arranged once we know who is
going by which means.

Route
A relaxing walk with some small hills going from Henley through Harpsden, the Henley Golf Course (literally) and through woods to Shiplake Row. stop for lunch in Shiplake woods. We return back to Henley along the Thames path with beautiful views along the river. There is the opportunity to stop at the museum cafe at the end or buy a drink and sit by the river (weather permitting).
