weekends away

Always prove popular with opportunity to walk and have fun in other parts of the country. In the past year we have been to the Yorkshire Dales, South Downs, Brecon, Snowdon, Exmoor and Hay on Wye.  They can be organised by anyone in the group so if you've an idea for one and want to publicise it, let the Webmaster know and it will be listed here and a forum set up on the message board for it.

Usually there will be a "waitlist" operating for a weekend away once its fully booked so you may still be able to go on a trip if someone has to drop out, contact the trip organiser to ask to go on the waitlist.

If you are thinking of organising a group weekend using a YHA hostel don't forget we have a group membership card so can get a discount on accommodation.

As places are always limited, and typically oversubscribed, these events are usually only open to group members.

Where	Llangollen Hostel
Description	I have provisionally booked a hostel for a weekend away in April. I need 24 takers in order to be able to hire out the entire hostel for the weekend at bargain price of £32 each for both nights (i.e. £16/person/night). Also will might ask for £6 per person for a group BBQ or veggie chilli on the Saturday night. The weekend will comprise an afternoon walk Friday, a longer walk Saturday, and a shorter walk Sunday. Would be nice to do a pub lunch before people return home. Bed linen and a light self serve breakfast are included in the price. You'll need to bring towels. Self catering kitchen with all the facilities, crockery/cutlery etc. If you are interested, then drop me an email/text with your name and contact number. Once I have enough, will secure the hostel and then ask for payment from everyone. Sorry for the short notice, but am hoping to drum-up 24 names by next weekend, which is when my provisional booking expires.

Description	I will be going camping in the beautiful Purbecks from the Friday evening until Sunday, with walks based around Corfe on Saturday and Sunday. You are more than welcome to join me, so please email me if you are interested, even if you would rather arrange to sleep in a local B 'n' B rather than under canvas.
